Our reputed client from India is looking out for the role "OBD Engineers"
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with CANoe, Vector Vtest Studio, and diagnostic tools for OBD communication.
- Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive protocols like CAN, LIN, and ISO 15765.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Understanding of DTCs, fault codes, and the diagnostic process in automotive systems.
- Testing Expertise: Hands-on experience with SiL and HiL testing environments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing faults and resolving issues within ECU systems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to document issues, write test plans, and communicate results clearly.
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) Systems: Develop, test, and validate OBD communication and diagnostics systems for vehicle ECUs.
- CANoe & Vtest Studio: Use CANoe and Vector Vtest Studio for diagnostic testing, network simulation, and communication protocol validation.
- Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): Implement and validate DTCs, ensuring correct error reporting and troubleshooting in line with industry standards.
- SiL & HiL Testing: Conduct Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing to simulate real-world vehicle behavior and diagnose faults.
- Testing & Validation: Execute automated and manual tests to verify ECU behavior under various conditions, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Reporting & Documentation: Document test results, issues, and DTCs accurately for analysis and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, and testing) to identify and resolve diagnostic issues.
